My sister, Janine, found this online somewhere and is thinking of doing something similar for a quilt for Meili. I think that it is a really cool pattern-we are still all about the ladybugs in this house! If I had come across this before doing
Meili's One Hundred Good Wishes Quilt, I may have used this for the pattern. It's too late for us but I thought I'd put this out there in case any of my
3 devoted readers still need an inspiration for their own quilts.
*UPDATE
My sister must have headed straight out to the fabric store after we talked on the phone this morning. She sent me an email with samples of the fabric she bought to make the quilt. She says this is the last I'll see of it unti it is completed. I'm excited to see the finished product!

I was just checking out Meili's quilt and noticed you did the ladybug stitch (her quilt is BEAUTIFUL, BTW!). I've been talking to quilt people and they all claim that you cannot get a ladybug stitch. Is there any way that your quilt lady could tell me where she found the template for that stitch? I KNEW I saw that stitch before!!! My email is edmorechiro39@yahoo.com if you're able to get any info on it I'd be grateful!
I had my quilt lady stalk your blog this morning to see Meili's quilt. She goes to AZ every winter and wanted to see if she might know the lady that did the stitch work. She didn't know your lady, but called a lady she does know there and the lady can get the ladybug stitch for us!! My lady is going to hand carry it to AZ in October and bring it back with her in the spring. I'm scared to death to ship it in case gets lost. I told my hubby last night that if I couldn't find it I was flying to AZ and have your lady do it for me! He knew I meant business and I'm certain he is relieved that our lady is taking it there and he saved himself some $$! =) So, I'll have to wait until spring to get Ava's quilt, but heck....I've gotten pretty good at waiting!
Wow, what a wonderful gift the quilt will be from your sister!
